Siempre que se habla de la posibilidad de estudiar en Gualeguaychú carreras terciarias o universitarias, la noticia es bienvenida.
Y lo es porque las familias que deben costear las carreras de sus hijos o al menos, parte de éstas si los jóvenes después comienzan a trabajar, deben hacer un esfuerzo enorme.
Bien se sabe que con tener un hijo en la universidad, cuando ésta no se encuentra en Gualeguaychú, significa una casa más para solventar, por lo que todo lo que acerque a los estudiantes locales a una carrera pública es una buena noticia.
Como la que dieron este jueves los integrantes del Encuentro Institucional de Acción Permanente, que reúne a dieciocho instituciones de Gualeguaychú que con sus gestiones posibilitaron en 2012 el cursado de parte del programa UBA XXI y ahora, se han comprometido a lograr su ampliación, al tiempo que confían en poder establecer en la ciudad una sede de la Universidad de Buenos Aires para el cursado del Ciclo básico común a todas las carreras universitarias.
Para esto cuentan con el apoyo de la Municipalidad, en el entendimiento que este curso nivelador es justamente el primer eslabón entre el secundario y la universidad y por consiguiente, una experiencia que no todos superan en un primer intento.
Por eso y mientras se consolida el perfil universitario, tener la posibilidad de estudiar sin padecer el desarraigo ni colocar a la familia en una posición económica apretada es una oportunidad para aprovechar.
Bienvenido entonces todo lo que tienda a facilitar la igualdad de oportunidades en la educación gratuita y la capacitación de los jóvenes, ejes imprescindibles para arribar a una democracia real, como ha sostenido el intendente de la ciudad al acompañar estas gestiones.
