Y ayer fue Pakistán
Días pasados nos horrorizábamos por el atentado, cuya autoría fue adjudicada por el Estado Islámico, en Bruselas. Allí fueron alrededor de 35 muertos y 131 heridos.
Ayer un nuevo hecho violento e irracional tuvo como epicentro Pakistán. La cantidad de muertos allí duplicó los del atentado anterior, sumando 65 fallecidos y cerca de 350 heridos.
La escalada de violencia y terror parece no tener fin. Otra vez el fanatismo, el terrorismo y el miedo hacen foco en los más desprotegidos. Porque en Lahore, una de las ciudades más importantes de Pakistán, el atentado ocurrió en un parque infantil y en el día en que la minoría cristiana de ese país celebraba la Pascua. Tal es así que, según indicaron las autoridades, la mayor parte de las víctimas fueron mujeres y niños.
Desde hace muchos años que los grupos islamistas tienen como objetivo de sus más atroces castigos a la minoría cristiana de Pakistán. Muchas iglesias han sido destruidas y muchos cristianos han huido para evitar ser víctimas del terror.
Cuando hace unos días, en esta misma sección reflexionábamos sobre lo ocurrido en Bruselas, y antes en Paris no pensamos que en pocos días íbamos a tener que volver sobre el tema.
Pero nuevas muertes inocentes hacen necesario llamar a la reflexión sobre cuál es la solución a tanta violencia.
Sin duda que se trata de problemas que requieren de la voluntad de las principales potencias del mundo, de los gobiernos y de los grupos económicos… todos deben anteponer la paz y la vida a los demás intereses, de lo contrario esta escalada irá en aumento.
